"Come with Me"
God saw that he was ill, a cure
was not to be.
So He put His arms around him,and whispered,"Come with Me".
With tearful eyes we watched him
suffer, and saw him fade away.
And although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating,
he finally lay to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

| This is my favorite picture of Beau. He looks rather menacing,
and he could be, but to his friends, he was a lap dog with a
big smile. Beau always had his mouth open so he looked like
a dolphin with a constant smile. People always wanted to know,
"What kind of dog is that?". Tim spent alot of time
in conversation with people about his dog. |
| I'm sure brother Tim would kill me for posting this picture,
but I don't care! Beau was at his best when he was with
Tim. Just look at that happy smile! Can't see Percy
(a rescue dog I fostered for a while in 1990) much, but that
tounge should say she felt right at home here. Taken in
1990. |
| This is me with Beau and Percy. They got along fine
and he welcomed her into his home with open paws. This
is a typical Beau pose; relaxing and smiling. Beau and
I were great buds and we spent lots of time together until his
move to the Hill Country some 6 or 7 years ago. |
| This picture was damaged in the flood in Houston in June,
2001. I doctored it the best I could since its such a moving
portrait of Man and his Best Friend. Beau was taught that
when you held your arm out, he could perch there to be petted.
He did that quite often with his owner. He sure was a
happy dog and lived "A Dog's Life". |
Good bye Beau, we miss you and love you.
Say "Woof" to Hank for me.
