Akita Rescue is very important to me. I help as much as I can with the Lone Star Akita Club rescue efforts and also own a rescued akita, Angel. I got Angel from Companion Pet Rescue in Dallas. It breaks my heart when dogs are abandoned or mistreated and of course, would like to have a backyard full of dogs in need of a home. However, Akitas are difficult in that they don't cohabitate well with same sex dogs. There is so much out there to learn about Akita Rescue and to help with finding forever homes for these animals.
